Breast augmentation – Case 101: implants replacement

Breast augmentation – Case 101: implants replacement

This patient experienced severe bilateral capsular contracture, a complication that can develop after many years of having breast implants. In this case, her previous 175 cc implants led to a hardening of the surrounding capsule, causing discomfort and breast distortion.

To correct this, we performed a one-stage capsulectomy—a procedure to remove the hardened capsule—and replaced the old implants with Mentor silicone implants (325 cc) for a softer, more natural, and symmetrical appearance.

The result is a well-contoured, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing bust. If you have breast implants and notice changes in firmness, shape, or experience discomfort, schedule a consultation to explore the best options for you!
