Testicular implant

This type of procedure is addressed to patients who for some reason don’t have one or both testicles. Their absence can be because they didn’t descend in the scrotum in childhood, due to torsion, or after tumor removal. There are studies showing the benefits of the psychological effect regarding this surgery.

Testicle implants are made of medical silicone. The procedure can be performed under general anesthesia or under local anesthesia with sedation. There are different sizes, but the best is chosen after local measurements. Their placement is done by an incision in the upper part of the testicles. An implant pocket is created and then the implant is inserted. The wires used for the suture are absorbable. Recovery is very fast and hospitalization is a few hours to a day, depending on the type of anesthesiachosen.

More details about the intervention and post surgery recommendation will be given at the consultation.
