This patient came to us with concerns related to an aged, tired appearance around the eyes, marked by:
- Under-eye fat pockets (bulging lower eyelids),
- Dark circles, often intensified by shadows caused by the fat bulges,
- Fine wrinkles and skin laxity in the lower eyelid region.
We performed a lower blepharoplasty, a surgical procedure designed to:
- Redistribute the existing fat from the lower eyelid into neighboring areas with volume loss (such as the tear trough or upper cheek transition),
- Tighten the lower eyelid to maintain shape and prevent postoperative sagging,
- Remove excess skin when indicated.
This modern approach not only reduces the appearance of bags and dark circles, but also achieves a smoother, brighter, and more youthful under-eye contour—without altering the patient’s natural expression.
The result is a refreshed and natural look, restoring lightness and vitality to the face.
